The Science of Modern Car Keys

Car keys are no longer just metal; they are sophisticated electronic devices. Inside the plastic head of your key is a transponder chip. This chip communicates with your car's immobilizer system. If the chip isn't programmed correctly, the fuel pump won't turn on. Our technicians are expert chip key makers. We plug directly into your car's OBD-II port to sync the new key with your vehicle's computer, ensuring a perfect start every time.

Key Fob & Smart Key Solutions

Push-to-start vehicles use "Proximity Smart Keys." These are complex computers that allow for keyless entry and ignition. We stock a vast inventory of OEM and high-quality aftermarket fobs for major brands like Ford, Toyota, Honda, Chevrolet, and BMW. We can program these remotes at your location in Tiburon, CA for significantly less than the dealership charges.

Ignition Repair & Replacement

Sometimes the key isn't the problem—the ignition is. If your key struggles to turn or gets stuck, your ignition wafers may be worn or damaged. We can rebuild the ignition cylinder, replacing the worn internal components while keeping your original key, saving you from having to carry two different keys for your doors and engine.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Can you replace a key without the original? Yes. We use your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to access the manufacturer's key codes. We then use a CNC laser cutter to create a factory-perfect key blade.
• How long does it take to make a new key? For most standard vehicles, we can cut and program a key in under an hour. High-security European vehicles may take slightly longer due to data encryption.
• Do you make motorcycle keys? Yes. We can generate keys for most major motorcycle brands, including gas cap and seat locks.
• Is it cheaper than the dealership? Yes. Dealerships have high overhead and require you to pay for towing. We come to you and offer competitive, upfront pricing.
• Can you erase stolen keys? Yes. If your keys were stolen, we can clear the old key data from your car's computer so the missing key will no longer start the vehicle.Call our helpdesk for fast help
